Liesl, Esther, Justine and Gaby all arrived safely in Cape Town this morning. Liesl is currently having difficulty connecting to the internet, so this is an update from brief updates reveived today.
After arrival and lunch, a coach tour to Mfuleni Township and allocation of teams. It seems Liesl has the same crew leader as Richard did last year, Nozuko. They also met their family who will be living in the house they build. A lady who will be living with her two children. She does not speak much English, but her eldest son speaks English really well. The shack the house will be replacing is still on site, at the back.
Monday will see a 0730 start for the the short drive from the Hotel to Mfuleni where the hard work of mixing "dugger" (the morter used to stick the bricks together) and moving bricks and building begins.
Hopefully Liesl will be able to connect to the net and update the site herself to tell you about the experience so far
